    Gabriela, Manuel and Leonardo are three friends who accidentally start a rocket that takes them to space. Their journey through space takes them to different planets and strange worlds. Throughout their journey, they have the help of Maqui, an on-board computer. Maqui helps them learn about the universe. The kid’s spaceship is intercepted by an alien called Jusini. He offers to take them to planet Earth, but Manuel doesn’t trust him. The kids fall into a trap after Gabriela and Leonardo don’t listen to Manuel’s advice. While they are trying to escape, they study the Milky Way together with Maqui.

Will they find their way back? Dr. Manuel Leal and colleagues designed an experiment to find out. They displaced the lizards from their home territories and then tracked their movements using radio transmitters. Most of the lizards were able to orient themselves and head in the right direction, with some making a beeline back to their original tree in less than 24 hours.

    If the sun instantly switched off like a light bulb, it would take almost 8 and a half minutes before humans on Earth realized what happened. Light travels at the fastest speed there is, but it still takes almost 500 seconds to get to Earth. This means the sunlight that reaches Earth is old. How is that possible? It is due to the concept of random walks. Part of the “It’s Okay to Be Smart” series.
